QM650G Gelbo Flex Tester

The QM650G Gelbo flex tester evaluates the twist resistance and interlayer peeling of flexible-packaging materials and multi-layer laminates (anti-fouling, flame-retardant, heat-resistant). A digital servo drives the specimen through a 440° twist combined with a reciprocating stroke, assessing damage in bonded and laminated regions after repeated flexing.

Gelbo Flexible-Packaging Flexing
Laminate Interlayer-Bond Test

The QM650G Gelbo flex tester applies Gelbo-method twist combined with reciprocating flexing to flexible-packaging films and multi-layer composites, simulating the combined deformation packages see during transport and folding. A digital servo precisely coordinates a 440° twist with 80/155 mm stroke; a 7" color touchscreen sets torque automatically per ASTM and ISO, with auto stop and return-to-zero.

From food packaging film to Li-ion aluminum-laminated film - flexible packages repeatedly bend and twist during transport, and layers easily delaminate or crack. The Gelbo method simulates real transport combined deformation and is the standard method for evaluating interlayer bond strength in flexible packaging.

Built for flexible-packaging flex evaluation - 440° twist plus reciprocating flexing, compliant with ASTM F392.
