QM650B BALLY Leather Flexing Tester

The QM650B BALLY leather flexing tester assesses crack and tear behavior of synthetic leather and shoe materials under repeated 22.5° flexing. The specimen is flexed back and forth at a constant flexing speed, and the number of flexes until cracks appear is recorded to quantitatively rate the flex-crack resistance of leather and shoe materials.

Bally Leather Flexing
Repeated-Flex Crack Testing

The QM650B leather flexing tester repeatedly flexes synthetic leather, natural leather and shoe-material specimens per the BALLY method at a fixed 22.5° angle, simulating repeated bending during wear and use. The specimen is flexed back and forth at a constant speed, and the number of flexes until surface cracking or tearing is recorded as a quantitative index of leather flex-crack resistance.

From shoes to handbags - leather is repeatedly bent in daily use, and flex resistance directly affects product life. The Bally method is the leather industry's classic flexing test, quantifying bending durability by the number of flexes to cracking.

Designed for leather flexing evaluation - 22.5° fixed angle plus repeated flexing, compliant with the ISO 5402 leather standard.
