Selection & Solution
01. Which machine should I choose for my material? Can you provide a ready-to-use configuration by industry?
+
Yes. We provide ready-made configuration packages for six application scenarios—just pick the one that matches yours:
Solid-state batteries: electrolyte powder hot-press sampling → QM900A-U servo hot press; multi-layer precision lamination of electrodes/electrolytes and interfaces → QM940AS; extreme thermal safety → QM910 series.
Li-ion battery separators: precision hot-press forming of separators and ceramic-coating lamination → QM900A-U + QM940AS; film tensile / puncture / tear → film testing machines; thermal shrinkage and thermal safety → QM910.
Lithium batteries: electrode-sheet hot-press forming and calendering → QM900A-U; separator/electrolyte lamination → QM940AS; full mechanical + thermal-safety + flame-retardant evaluation.
Display materials: hot-press forming and lamination (bonding process), thermal-safety and aging evaluation.
Composites: carbon-fiber/aramid impact damage tolerance → QM700C / QM700L; environmental impact toughness at -55°C~150°C; cabin-material fire resistance → QM500 series.
Research institutes & universities: one machine for many uses → QM100S universal UTM + QM Grip universal grips + QM100E extensometer + QM130A cutter.
If unsure, send us your material form + applicable standard + sample size, and we'll reply within 2 hours with the recommended model and fixture list.
02. Can we run sample tests before purchasing? Is there a charge?
+
Yes, and sample testing is free. Our Shenzhen application lab keeps real machines on hand, including the QM900A-U, QM940AS and QM100 series. You only need to:
Send samples (with a material description and test purpose)
We run a trial using your standard method
Issue a complete test report (including raw data)
For frontier fields such as solid-state batteries and Li-ion separators, we can also arrange on-site demos or remote machine viewings. Sample-test data can be used directly for internal project approval and budget requests.
03. Can one machine cover multiple standards and test types? What if the budget is limited?
+
Yes. Fixtures for the full ASTM / ISO / GB standards are available—tension, compression, bending and peel on a single machine. The software has built-in standard method templates; just switch between them.
A common request from universities and research users is "one machine shared by multiple groups, many material types, and easy enough for students to operate". Recommended package:
QM100S universal UTM + QM Grip universal grips + QM100E extensometer
Software supports raw-data export; results are reproducible and directly support papers
When budget is limited, start with the main unit + commonly used fixtures, then expand accessories as needed
04. How should we set parameters such as load, accuracy and temperature range to avoid the wrong purchase?
+
Three dimensions to judge by:
Load: select a range at 1.5~2× the sample's maximum breaking force; avoid running at full scale long-term (which affects accuracy and service life).
Accuracy: the full line reaches Grade 0.5, better than the national Grade-1 requirement; key sensors use imported brands.
Environment: standard room temperature; high/low-temperature work requires an environmental chamber (e.g. impact-toughness testing at -55°C~150°C); hot-press processes need clear temperature, pressure and dwell time.
Before ordering, we help re-check the range and accuracy, and lock the acceptance criteria into the technical agreement.

Standards & Methods
01. Which domestic and international test standards does the equipment support?
+
We cover the main standard systems, by industry:
Batteries / separators: UL 9540A thermal-runaway propagation, ASTM D3330 peel strength, ISO 11357 DSC / hot-press forming processes
Aerospace / automotive: FAR 25.853 aircraft-material fire resistance, ASTM D5132 / FMVSS 302 interior burning, ISO 179 / ASTM D256 impact, ISTA package drop
Plastics / rubber: ASTM D1238 / ISO 1133 MFR, ASTM D648 / ISO 75 HDT, ASTM D4060 abrasion, UL 94 vertical burning
General mechanical: GB / ISO / ASTM / DIN / JIS tension, compression, bending, peel, tear
The software has built-in standard method templates; once you select a standard, it automatically applies the corresponding parameters and calculation logic.
02. We work in frontier fields (e.g. solid-state electrolytes) where no mature standard exists. What then?
+
This is exactly our strength. Method development is a core service delivered alongside the equipment: our application engineers work with you to refine process parameters, produce reproducible standardized workflows, and can help draft internal enterprise control standards.
Typical scenarios:
Forming consistency of solid-state electrolytes under high temperature and pressure
Coating adhesion and peel strength of electrode sheets
Separator shrinkage, melting and thermal-runaway propagation under thermal abuse
End-to-end data is traceable and meets ASTM / ISO requirements, directly supporting high-level paper publication.
03. Can data be exported? Is compliance auditing and system integration supported?
+
Raw-data export: export raw curves and data points for reproducible analysis
Compliance: the professional version supports audit trail, electronic signatures, tiered user permissions and encrypted data backup (21 CFR Part 11 applicable)
Integration: USB / RS232 / Ethernet as standard; Modbus and OPC UA optional; LIMS / MES integration supported
The "full-chain data traceability" that research users care most about is configured during the solution-design phase.
04. How is equipment accuracy guaranteed? Is a calibration certificate provided at delivery?
+
Every machine passes the following before leaving the factory:
Full-range multi-point accuracy verification (Grade 0.5)
Third-party metrology-institute calibration with certificate
Key sensors use imported brands (e.g. HBM)
At acceptance, standard specimens are used to verify accuracy and repeatability; the metrics are written into the technical agreement.
03 / 06
Customization & Configuration
01. Do you support non-standard customization? How far can it go?
+
We support deep non-standard customization, including but not limited to:
Special load / stroke / spatial dimensions
Combined hot-press + lamination processes (e.g. process coupling of the QM900A-U and QM940AS)
Integration with dry rooms and glove boxes
Automated production-line connectivity (MES / PLC)
Development of dedicated fixtures, tooling and non-standard sensors
The standard customization lead time is 30–60 days; urgent projects can be expedited by agreement.
02. How do I choose fixtures and accessories? Are they quoted separately?
+
Fixtures are selected by material and standard, and are usually itemized separately from the main-unit quote:
QM Grip universal fixture: works across many materials; the top choice for shared university setups
QM100E extensometer: essential when precise strain data is required
Dedicated fixtures: peel, puncture, tear, film tensile, etc.—selected by standard
QM130A cutter: we recommend including specimen preparation in the budget
We provide a fixture list + unit prices so you can buy in phases and control the initial budget.
03. Can the equipment connect to our existing production line or laboratory system?
+
Yes. The interfaces and integration methods we provide:
Industrial bus: Modbus / Profinet
Host PC: OPC UA
System integration: LIMS / MES
Environmental integration: dry rooms, glove boxes, environmental chambers
Before purchase, please provide the interface-protocol documentation of your existing system; we will run a joint-debugging feasibility assessment.
04. Will our process documents and technical information be kept confidential?
+
Yes. This is a hard requirement for new-energy customers:
Technical discussions begin only after an NDA is signed
Customer process documents are independently numbered, encrypted at rest, and accessible only to the assigned engineers
Project handovers and personnel changes are audit-logged
We have served multiple leading new-energy companies; the related systems are certified for information-security management.
