Printed-Ink Wear Resistance
Dry/Wet Rubbing Smudge Test

The QM680I print-wear tester rubs printed areas under a specified load and area, simulating printed-matter friction in use and storage under both dry and wet conditions. Test speed, cycle count and time are settable; it auto-stops and returns home at the set cycle count, rating ink smudging and discoloration per ASTM D5264 and TAPPI T830.

From package printing to labels - printed matter endures friction in storage, transport and use, and ink smudging or discoloration directly affects appearance and brand image. Dual dry/wet operation simulates real use, and automatic counting reduces human error.

Designed for print-wear evaluation - dry/wet rubbing plus automatic counting; ASTM D5264 print-standard-compliant.
