45° Inclined Burning
Building-Interior Flame-Retardancy Evaluation

The QM500D burns specimens at a 45° inclination, measuring burn time, burn distance and charred area to evaluate flame retardancy of building interior films, wallpaper, curtains, stage drapes and carpets/floors. Two burner sources - a Meker burner and a miniature burner - plus electronic auto-ignition and gas-valve control, comply with fire-protection standards such as JIS L1091 and KS K2619.

From curtains and drapes to carpets and floors - the flame retardancy of building interior materials directly relates to life safety. The 45° inclined burning method simulates flame spread in a real fire; charred area and burn distance quantify the material's flame-retardant grade.

Designed for building-interior flame-retardancy evaluation - dual burners plus the 45° inclined method, compliant fire-protection testing.
