Low-Temperature Chamber
Material Low-Temperature Brittleness Testing

The QM400 low-temperature chamber exposes specimens to a low-temperature environment to evaluate low-temperature brittleness, and is combined with tension, bending and impact tests to determine the brittle temperature. Digital PID control, -20/-30/-45°C ranges selectable, a frost-free low-temperature window, adjustable shelves and a standard 80 L capacity.

From cold-resistant rubber to low-temperature plastics - materials become brittle at low temperature; the chamber provides a stable low-temperature environment that, together with a UTM and impact tester, completes low-temperature mechanical testing. Stable PID control with small fluctuation makes it the supporting environment device for low-temperature performance evaluation.

Designed for low-temperature performance evaluation - a -45°C environment plus PID control, paired with low-temperature embrittlement testing.

FAQ

Answers to common questions about purchasing, delivery and service for the QM400

What is the main application of the QM400 low-temperature chamber? +

For brittleness evaluation of plastics, rubber, films and other materials at low temperature: specimens held in a set low-temperature range are then tension-/bend-/impact-tested to determine the brittle temperature at which they turn from tough to brittle; a common environment chamber for low-temperature reliability of automotive seals, wire & cable and electronic components.

What are the core specifications of the QM400? +

Per the specification table: capacity 80L, overall 600(W)×920(D)×1555(H) mm; temperature range in three models - standard -20~80°C, low-temp -30~80°C, ultra-low-temp -45~65°C.

How accurate is the temperature control? +

A digital PID controller gives small low-temperature fluctuation and uniform chamber temperature; a multi-layer hollow heat-resistant window lets you observe specimens, and shelves are height-adjustable for different specimens.

How to choose among the three ranges? +

General plastic/rubber low-temperature brittleness uses the -20~80°C standard model; northern outdoor and automotive cold conditions use -30~80°C; ultra-low and severe-cold conditions use the -45~65°C model.

Which environmental test standards does it meet? +

Corresponds to IEC 60068 (environmental testing),GB/T 2423.1 (low-temperature testing),GB/T 15256 (vulcanized-rubber low-temperature brittleness),MIL-STD-810 and other environmental and low-temperature embrittlement test methods.

Which options are supported? +

Adjustable shelves and a heat-resistant viewing window are standard; special ranges and chamber sizes can be customized on request - please contact sales to confirm.

What is the lead time for standard models? +

The standard-model lead time is 3-8 weeks; the ultra-low-temp model and custom configurations follow the contracted lead time after confirmation.

How are certification and after-sales service secured? +

The equipment passes CE / ISO 9001 system certification and is temperature-calibrated and run-tested before shipment; after-sales provides 2-hour emergency response, certified on-site engineers for installation, a 1-year warranty and lifetime software upgrades.
