QM240 Thermal Aging Oven

The QM240 thermal aging oven measures the heat-aging resistance of plastics, rubber and composites and the property changes caused by sustained heat exposure, in two types: forced-convection and air-replacement.

The forced-convection type rotates specimens on a split rotary table at 3~8 rpm for uniform surface aging; the air-replacement type periodically exhausts and refreshes air per ISO 188, keeping the air speed reaching the specimens uniform.

Forced-convection range RT~250 °C (350 °C option); replacement type RT~400 °C; digital PID control with saved test data.

Key Product Features

Rotary table 3~8 rpm · forced/ISO188 replacement types · RT~250/400 °C, plastic & rubber thermal aging

Rotary-table aging

A split rotary table turns specimens at 3~8 rpm to promote even surface aging.

Two types available

Choose the forced-convection or ISO 188 replacement type per test requirements.

Digital PID control

A high-accuracy digital PID controller gives stable temperature and savable data.

Air exchange prevents contamination

The replacement type exhausts periodically to prevent secondary reactions from aging gases.

Multiple safety features

Overheat prevention with auto cooling, and a heat-strengthened-glass observation window.

Hot-Air Aging Oven
Heat-Exposure Testing of Plastics & Rubber

The QM240 hot-air aging oven measures heat-aging resistance and property changes under sustained exposure. The forced-convection type rotates specimens on a table at 3~8 rpm for even surface aging; the replacement type exhausts periodically per ISO 188 to keep air speed uniform (0.5 m/s ± 0.25). Forced range RT~250 °C (350 °C option); replacement RT~400 °C.

From rubber seals to plastic housings - materials oxidize, harden and embrittle under long-term heat. Hot-air aging accelerates this to evaluate long-term heat life, a foundational method for polymer weathering assessment.

Designed for heat-aging evaluation - forced convection plus air-replacement, ISO 188 compliant.
