Folding Endurance Tester

MIT Folding Endurance Precise, Reliable Testing

Q-307-3 MIT Folding Endurance Tester

The Q-307-3 is an MIT folding endurance tester that measures the folding life of plastic sheets, films, paper and wires through reciprocating folding. With a 135 degree folding angle, 175 cpm speed, an adjustable 4.9~14.7 N force range, servo-motor drive and automatic recording of folds to break.

The specimen clamping and reciprocating folding angle move at a constant rate per the standard, with high counting accuracy to ensure repeatability in determining folding-endurance counts for paper and film.

Suitable for MIT-style reciprocating folding-endurance determination of paper, paperboard and film; compliant with ASTM D2176 and other standards.

MIT Folding Endurance Tester
Reciprocating Folding Life of Paper & Film

The Q-307-3 MIT folding endurance tester measures the folding life of plastic sheets, films, paper and wires through reciprocating folding. With a 135 degree folding angle, 175 folds/min folding speed, 4.9~14.7 N force range, F1-class weights (plus/minus 0.1%), servo-driven cyclic testing and automatic recording of folds to break.

From packaging paper to flexible-display film - fatigue fracture after repeated folding is the core indicator of folding performance. The MIT method clamps one end of the specimen and folds it 135 degrees left and right under a specified tension until break, recording the number of folds; it is the classic method for evaluating the folding life of paper, film and foil.

Designed for folding-life evaluation - MIT reciprocating folding plus servo counting; ASTM D2176 folding-endurance test.
